Junior Sous Chef

As a Junior Sous you will be expected to assist in the overall running of the kitchen and take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. In this role you will: 

  • Ensure consistency and the smooth running of food production 
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served according to specification
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of food prepared 
  • Ensure effective stock control and storage 
  • Ensure working areas are always kept clean 
  • Supervise and support the performance of kitchen staff and provide guidance when required
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Work towards exceeding customer’s expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service 
  • Promote good team spirit to ensure kitchen staff work harmoniously in order to ensure timely production of quality food 
  • Assist with the preparation and supervision of kitchen cleaning schedules
  • Manage temperature logs
  • Report maintenance requirements according to company policy

Commis Chef 

An eagerness to learn and a good exemplary work ethic is essential.  Duties will include:
  • Adhering to HACCP procedures
  • Assisting with the food preparation process 
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes 
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish 
  • Assisting and supporting team members 
  • Assisting with deliveries, restocking and stock rotation 
  • Cleaning work stations 
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards. 

Kitchen Assistant 

As an integral part of the Kitchen team your duties will include:
  • Washing all cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and safe dish-washing area
  • Ensuring floors are clean, dry and free of slip hazards 
  • Washing, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas
  • Ensure kitchen and back areas are clean and organised
  • Assisting with deliveries and keeping delivery areas clear 
  • Disposal of all waste and packaging materials in the correct and efficient manner
  • Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards

All positions are on seasonal basis and include weekend and shift work over 7 days.
